Hi I’m Tess, a vegan chef, mother and formerly navy officer. Vegan Bump & Baby is your headquarters for all things plant-based pregnancy and parenting. You’ll find lots of women-centred info, ideas and recipes! Happy you’re here and happy to share with you. 

During my time as a pregnant mother-to-be I craved all information available about a healthy vegan pregnancy. Though being a vegan for almost a decade, I still wanted to consume as much information as possible about a vegan pregnancy. There were some websites but honestly I could count them on one hand. There was so much to know and so little to read. This is how Vegan Bump & Baby was birthed!

Times are changing and I see more and more young women become vegan nowadays. Being a book-nerd myself and holding a Master’s degree in the Humanities from the University of Amsterdam it is easy for me to absorb all books, articles, scientific information and the like about a vegan pregnancy. I want every woman to have that knowledge available. Especially when you are newly pregnant and crave all information that is available.

My goal is to share as much women-centred information as possible so you can be a confident pregnant vegan mother.

But even if you are not pregnant, or not vegan, but a flexitarian, vegetarian, or just curious, you are more than welcome to look around!
